While I was shopping for my recent Miami trip I stumbled across this cute gypsy looking headwrap at forever 21. I had seen different ones on Instagram models and had been wanting to try them so I purchased it. Then I mosied over to Charlotte Russe and found a few more cute ones I liked. They look really cute and are relatively inexpensive I spent $4 on the one from forever 21 and $2 on each of the wraps from Charlotte Russe. They leave a slight indentation on my head 1 because my head is a bit in the large side and 2 I had thick Havana twist in! I'm excited to purchase more

How do you guys feel about highlighting and contouring?! Well I guess I should first explain what highlighting and contouring is. Its a very popular technique in the makeup world currently made popular by celebs such as Kim Kardashian. What it basically is ,is a way to change the shape of your face in which you can create a thinner looking face, cheek bones, and even a smaller nose using bronzer, foundation, blush, concealer, and or a highlighting pen. It's like a face lift without the plastic surgery. While the end result is usually stunning, when I see things like this I think it's a bit much! When I do makeup on myself and clients I 1. don't want to be caking a whole bunch of makeup on their face and 2. I still want them to look like themselves. Although, this particular girl does relatively look the same I've seen some drastic changes in others with the highlighting and contouring technique. I believe and always say that makeup should enhance beauty not try to create it. When you change how your face looks complete are you just hiding behind the mask makeup creates for you. What are your thoughts?

I haven't posted for a while a decided today would be the day I would do a post. While I was going to do a post on zelieforshe.com new collection a much more important topic came to mind. So as I was scrolling down my Facebook timeline I watched a video on Sara Baartman which I'll post below. But basically the author of this video gave a brief history on her and how she was degraded in Europe because of her full lips, big breast, and large backside. She then went on to discuss today's black woman and how she degrades herself in exchange for attention, money, fame, etc. I reposted on my timeline and kept scrolling. Then I fell upon a video about Trey Songs response to Nicki Minaj's new song "Looking Ass" it was a 15 sec clip but the content in that 15 sec clip got my attention so I looked it up to hear the whole song. Granted what he said in the song did not apply to me directly I believe it applied to many black women which in turn effects how black men treat black women which effects

Here's a quote from the song

"These hoes crazy, I swear out here
Selling ass and dreams, frontin' like queens but it ain't what it seem
Watch out for that
I've done seen these hoes jump table to table tellin' fibs and fable
These hoes ain't yours these hoes Ain't mine nigga these are hoes are by design"

Crazy right?! Yet, sadly true. This also broke back to mind a conversation I was having with a guy who was pretty much saying the same thing and I got offended because he was referring to black women and as a black woman I am in that category!

The purpose of this post is to shine a light on the problem black women are facing currently. We are oversexed, are constantly disrespecting ourselves for what a little attention from a man who wants nothing more than to see what that mouth do and how wet your vagina gets?! We are much more than that desendents of Queens! I'm over men treating me a certain way because it's worked plenty of times with plenty other women before. It is not until we respect ourselves that we will get the respect we deserve.

I am not here to lecture it pretend I'm perfect that I am not. I an avid twerker and I like to have fun go out drink and whatever! However I do respect myself and I do for myself and don't count on or look to any man for assistance. So black women I beg of thee to do better respect and love yourself and men will have no other choice but to follow suit!

Be great queens!

In my last post about bathing suits I was asked in the comment section how do you know what bathing suit is for your body type.  So instead of just commenting back I figured I'd do some research and do a whole post on it!
My initial thoughts on this was wear what you want or what you like on your body but I also found a few articles online on how to dress for different body shapes. Although I do encourage you to wear what you want I still believe that you should be tasteful and look nice in what you wear! I encourage you to try on different types of suits to find the one for you!  For us busty women make sure you get a suit with support to hold up your girls.  Don't be afraid of cellulite big and skinny women alike have cellulite.  If you are uncomfortable with your cellulite however purchase a sarong to cover up those dimples.  Also below are sites you can find plus size bathing suits. Big girls can wear bikinis too again I say make sure its flattering to your body! High waist bikinis were very popular last summer and I'm sure this trend will continue for those of us with not so flat stomachs but still want to wear a bikini! I also posted a few sites that have plus size bathing suits! Hope this was helpful!

So recently I've been getting a lot of compliments on the way I carry myself and my humble confidence. I've realiZed that confidence has a lot to do with making an outfit you wear that much better. When I know I look badddd I walk and act as if I'm bad. Other people see that and feed off of the energy! One guy who had complimented me on my confidence said that he liked bigger woman but a lot of them aren't confident or comfortable with their bodies. I say if you got it flaunt it baby! Dress up your curves, love, and embrace them! If you aren't comfortable with the body you have hit the gym up! Once you work hard for your body you'll love it even more! Today starts me getting back in the gym I have got to lose some of this tummy pray for me lol! But yes ladies and gents confidence is the sexiest thing you can wear ;-)

I asked my cousin to do a photoshoot for my blog site. So one cold fall day, while I was fresh off of working overtime, we chose to do an outside shoot. It was freezing and my eyes kept watering and I realized model life was not for me lol. But here are some of the looks. I literally got dressed outside with no mirror to check how I looked but here are some of my favorite pictures! Pretty much everything is from goodwill lol except the shoes
